school_news_busWelcome to Room 122!

We are truly excited to be teaching the 2012-2013 5th graders.  Our group is a great one and we can see they are extremely bright and ready to learn!

Our goal, as your child's teachers, is to work with our students to create a classroom environment that is safe, open-minded, and free of criticism and put downs so each child can meet their potential. We also want to have a working relationship with families so that we can properly facilitate the students to develop their academic goals as well as their character. We value and respect each person in our room. We can't wait to see where this year takes us! It's going to be a great one!

Homework

Reading Every student is responsible for reading 30 minutes every night.

Math Our goal is to have every student in room 122 know all their math facts by the end of 5th grade so we are asking that each student participate in math fact practice every single night. Mrs. Sweetman has found an interactive, fun website called XtraMath to help students do this. Go to XtraMath and sign in using  This email address is being protected from spambots.
